Summit Town Hall is September 1

Dear Summit Schools families, We are making daily progress in our preparations for a return to school on September 3. While our playground is still in need of repair, we feel confident in our ability to deliver our schooling experience in a safe and purposeful manner. Summit Schools is closed until further notice! The Return to Learn Academy is cancelled!

Summit Schools sustained serious damage to the building and grounds during the storm on August 10. We are so thankful that all the staff that was in the school doing back-to-school prep were safe and unharmed. Safely reopening our school this fall is our No. 1 priority.

Summit Families, On Thursday, June 25th the Iowa Department of Education (DOE) released its Reopening Guidance for Schools. I have evaluated this guidance and shared it with Summit's Board of Trustees to determine its alignment with our Return-to-Learn Plan (RLP). My research and additional information gathered in my attendance at webinars with the Iowa Department of Public Health
