🐯 Congrats to the newest Tigers of the Week: Forre 🐯 Congrats to the newest Tigers of the Week: Forrest, Evelyn, Brooklynn, Chloe, Annabelle, Kennedy, and Rowan who have all demonstrated the Summit Way. 📍The Tiger of the Week bulletin board is now located right inside the main Summit door, near the PreK/K room.
💰Summit's Pod 1 students (PreKindergarten-1st grad 💰Summit's Pod 1 students (PreKindergarten-1st grade) hosted a Makers Market where they sold their treasures including keychains, ornaments, jewelry, art pieces, and more! Students built their own businesses by combining what they have learned in Junior Achievement financial literacy, math and art. This market gave students real-life money experience, and all proceeds help fund their end-of-the-year field trip. Thank to you the families and visitors who supported this hands-on learning experience! 🏫The Makers Market was part of Summit's longstanding Y.A.L.E. (Yet Another Learning Experience) program, which includes financial literacy (taught by Junior Achievement volunteers last fall), community service, and a physical component. Y.A.L.E.'s physical activities begin this month: Pod 1 will enjoy Little Sports Torts, Pod 2 is going ice skating, and Pod 3 will learn to play pickleball. Y.A.L.E. is just another unique learning experience found exclusively at Summit Schools!
🎈Summit students have the iReady Diagnostic & Fast 🎈Summit students have the iReady Diagnostic & FastBridge Assessment this week, so third graders celebrated all their learning and growth so far this year with balloons and kazoos before the testing began. Learning is fun at Summit Schools! 🎶

Summit's PTO provides so many unique and creative events and opportunities for our community. They host events for students and their families including the annual outdoor movie night, the upcoming sledding event, and the all-school party in the spring. They spoil Summit staff with their monthly Sunshine Carts and Holiday Love collection. Their fundraising helps sponsor books and supplies for Summit's reading night event, and playground equipment replacements.
