Thank you to all the families who joined us for Summit’s Town Hall last night which featured updates on the first day of school and a Q&A about the return of school. If you missed the Town Hall, you can watch it here.

We are so excited to welcome students back to school tomorrow, September 3. Our first two days of school are half-days (8:30-11:30 a.m.). Our first full day of school is Tuesday, September 8, 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Our revised 2020-21 school calendar can be found here.

Just a reminder that due to construction we have one drop-off and pickup location in front of the school on Regent Street. Although a portion of Old Marion Road is now open, it is still closed near C Avenue. In addition, all the entrances to the streets that we use to access the playground route for drop-off and pickup are also closed. Please take 42nd Street to Golf Street, and then turn right on Clifton Street to access Regent Street and be in the right lane in front of the school.
Summit cannot allow children to cross the street alone. If parents choose to park on the other side of the street, they will need to cross the street to come over and pick up their child(ren).

Pickup for our two half days this week (September 3 and 4) is as follows:
PreK-2nd Grade (Group 1): 11:15 a.m.
3rd-8th Grade (Group 2): 11:30 a.m.
Families with children in both groups will be dismissed at 11:30 a.m.

Extended Day (AM and PM)
Students who are using AM Extended Day will enter from the back parking lot door. Please pull into the lot where your student will be temperature checked before entering the building.

Students who are using PM Extended Day starting next week will also be picked up at the back parking lot door. Please use the doorbell if students are not on the outdoor play spaces.

Thank you for your patience and grace as we face these challenges, and please let us know if you have any helpful feedback as we work out this temporary new system.
