Thank you for your attendance at this week’s Town Hall Meeting. I was encouraged by the healthy conversation and we look forward to meeting the challenges that are before us. If you missed the Town Hall you can catch it here. (Please note: Meeting begins around the 11 minute mark.). Updates on our Return to Learn Plan (RLP) are discussed, as well as other important issues. Summit is in the final states of preparing additional Return to Learn policies and procedures for Board review. Once approved by the Board, we will share these with our Summit community for comment. These policies and procedures will then be adopted and distributed by August 1.
I am excited to announce that our RLP has been accepted by the Iowa Department of Education and we are free to begin school, assuming that there are no additional proclamations from the Governor’s office, on August 12th. More details on this opening can be found by watching the Town Hall.
