Dear Families and Staff,

Last night Governor Reynolds made the recommendation to close Iowa schools for four weeks in response to the confirmed community spread of COVID-19. Following this recommendation and the decision of the Cedar Rapids Community School District, we will close our campus until Monday, April 13, 2020. The Governor has scheduled a public announcement later today and we anticipate the release of additional information regarding the closures.

At this time, the closure affects all school programming, including before – and after-school activities, all tutoring within the building, and all extra-curricular/weekend events.

We are actively preparing plans for continued learning. Faculty will meet in a conference call on Monday, March 23rd, to formalize these plans. Details will be shared within our updates to families during the week of March 23rd.

Thank you for your patience and your understanding as we work together through this incredibly trying situation. We will continue to provide updates as information becomes available. Please remember that this situation is fluid as information seems to change on a daily basis. We will do our best to communicate essential information to you in a timely fashion.

Sincerely,

Paul G. Pressler
Head of School
